Terms of Service: Sister to Sister Journal

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Welcome to Sister to Sister Journal ("the Journal," "the Service," "we," "us"), operated by Life's Journals. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service at sistertosister.lifesjournals.com. By creating an account or purchasing access, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service Is

Sister to Sister Journal is a paid, digital, shared journaling application intended for two adult individuals ("Members") to jointly maintain one interactive journal covering prayer, reflection, Bible study, letters, memories, and related content.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or hold an account. The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a person under 13 has provided us personal information, we will delete it.

3. Accounts and Shared Access

3.1 Structure. Each Journal is shared by exactly two Members: an "Owner" (who purchases access) and an invited "Member." The Owner is responsible for selecting who to invite.

3.2 Your responsibility for who you invite and how you share access. You are solely responsible for choosing who you invite into your shared Journal, for maintaining the confidentiality of your own login credentials, and for any consequences that result from your decision to share your account, your invite link, your login credentials, or any content from your Journal with any other person, whether that person is your intended co-Member, a third party, or anyone else. We are not responsible for, and disclaim all liability arising from, how you or your co-Member choose to share, forward, screenshot, print, export, or otherwise distribute Journal content or account access to any other individual. Once content is shared or disclosed by you or your co-Member, whether inside or outside the Service, we have no ability to control, retrieve, or restrict its further use, and you assume all risk associated with that sharing.

3.3 Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep your login credentials secure.

4. Payment

The Service is currently offered as a one-time purchase covering both Members' access to a single shared Journal, at the price displayed at checkout. We reserve the right to change our pricing or business model (including introducing subscription plans) for future purchases at any time. Any such change will not affect customers who have already purchased under the one-time model; those customers retain the access they were promised at the time of purchase, under the terms then in effect.

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership. You and your co-Member retain all ownership rights to the prayers, letters, photos, reflections, and other content you create or upload to your Journal ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership over your User Content.

5.2 License to us. By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, host, back up, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you and your co-Member.

5.3 Shared content is visible to your co-Member. Because the Journal is a shared space, content you create in shared or dual-answer sections may be visible to your co-Member by design. You should not enter information you do not want your co-Member to see.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringes another person's rights, or that you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account other than your own shared Journal
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its networks
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than personal, non-commercial journaling between the two Members of a shared Journal

7. Spiritual and Religious Content Disclaimer

The Journal contains devotionals, Scripture references, prayer prompts, and faith-based reflection content intended for personal encouragement and spiritual growth. This content is not professional counseling, therapy, medical advice, or a substitute for guidance from a licensed mental health professional, physician, or pastor/clergy member. If you or your co-Member are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or a crisis service in your area.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, journal structure, original written prompts, devotional content, cover artwork, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service itself.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Life's Journals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any damages arising from the sharing or disclosure of Journal content by you or your co-Member as described in Section 3.2. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. See our Refund Policy and Account Deletion & Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data upon termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
